Nokia inks deal with Australian company Leopard Labs

January 28 2009

Australian Company Leopard Labs offers a world-first solution to cut business costs amid the global economic crisis. The solution is available today through the Try For Free portal where end-users can easily access from Nokia’s Eseries and Nseries range via the Nokia.mobi site.

Leopard Labs has developed the only software solution to effectively manage how staff use company-funded mobile phones.

The innovation has the potential to dramatically cut mobile phone costs for business.

"Amid the most challenging economic environment seen since the Great Depression, we understand that business owners have never been under greater pressure to keep costs down,” Leopard Labs spokeswoman Meg Dennis says. “We are hearing our customers tell us they need to grow the business to take advantage of market opportunities, and at the same time find smarter ways to cut costs.

“Our mozone solution means that business owners now have a comprehensive tool to manage the way staff use mobile phones, including the critical issue of internet access from mobile devices.

“It plugs a gaping hole in the mobile landscape.

“For the first time, business owners can manage the use of internet-enabled mobile devices in the same way they manage the use of PCs. mozone solves the extremely difficult problem of separating personal and business use of mobile devices, and will help drive up productivity.”

mozone can:
  • Control what internet content staff access via mobile phones
  • Block access to inappropriate sites such as MySpace, Facebook and those with adult content
  • Restrict the use of camera functions on mobiles within business hours to prevent loss of corporate data
  • Prevent access to expensive premium rate services
  • Protect business networks with anti-spam and anti-virus technology
  • Separate the personal and business use of a mobile phone

“Until now, no such solution to manage mobile services has been available. mozone is game-changing technology that will help keep businesses strong in uncertain times,” Ms Dennis says.
